The following noise abatement procedures are mandatory unless otherwise instructed by ATC or unless deviations are required in the interests of safety.
Instructions which will imply deviations from the noise abatement procedures will include the phrase “DISREGARD NOISE ABATEMENT”.
Aeroplanes with MTOM more than 7000 KG making a visual approach, shall join final at or above 2000 FT AMSL and descend below PAPI glide path shall not be executed, REF Visual Approach Chart – ICAO, RWY 17 and 35 (AD 2 ENBR 6-3 and 6-4).
Fighter ACFT shall adhere to the following VFR-traffic pattern:
Approaches to be made along a line APRX 10 DEG west of extended runway centre line, with IP (initial point) RWY 17 at Håkonshella, and IP RWY 35 at Bjelkarøy/Buarøy.
Both IPs at 1500 FT AMSL. Circling to be made west of AD.
The following departure procedures is mandatory for aeroplanes with MTOM more than 7000 KG:
Climb straight ahead. Turn to the west can be started at 1500 FT AMSL. Turn to the east can be started at 2000 FT AMSL.
Note: Departure tracks are incorporated in SID.
School and training flights (i.e. landing circuits VFR and IFR) are prohibited 2100 – 0600 (2000 – 0500), and SUN/HOL 0600 – 1200 (0500 – 1100).
On the northern end of TWY Y, by TWY A1
On the southern end of TWY Y, by TWY A9
The aeroplane shall be positioned with nose to the south or to the north, and the fuselage parallel to TWY Y.
Which area to be used, depends on RWY in use, and is determined by the TWR. The areas are located on the manoeuvring area and clearance shall be obtained from TWR.
An aeroplane without approval for RNAV 1 based on GNSS, will be vectored to final, or cleared/vectored to a point from where approach can be made.
An aeroplane without approval for RNAV 1 based on GNSS, will be cleared via OMNI-DIRECTIONAL DEPARTURE. After departure the aeroplane will be cleared or vectored to a point from where the flight can continue in accordance with the flight plan.
An aeroplane not visible on ATC surveillance equipment after departure, will not be allowed to continue its flight in accordance with the flight plan. The aeroplane will be cleared to a holding pattern, and instructed to hold until the situation allows a return to the airport.
The following holding patterns will be used, corresponding to RWY in use:
RWY 17 : BENTI HLDG
RWY 35 : LELMI HLDG
ILS CAT II approach RWY 17 when RVR is above or equal to 300 M.
LVTO Fixed Wing RWY 17/35 when RVR is above or equal to 150 M.
LVTO HELI when RVR is above or equal to 400 M.
Note: No operations permitted at RVR below 150 M.
RWY 17 : RWY entry via A1 / RWY exit via A9
Note: A7 AVBL for RWY exit on ATC discretion
RWY 35 : RWY entry via A9 / -
TWY LGT on other RWY entries/exits will be switched off.
The aircraft has to be visible for the TWR, either visually or by surface movement radar.
The following phraseology will be used to describe that the stop bar is U/S, that the ATC cannot turn off the lights, and that crossing of an illuminated stop bar is approved:
“Call sign” STOPBAR OUT OF SERVICE. I AM NOT ABLE TO TURN OF THE LIGHTS. CROSSING APPROVED VIA
“TWY in use”, LINE UP “RWY in use”.
