ENDU AD 2.20  Local aerodrome regulations

1  AD availability
1.1 PPR for CIV and MIL ACFT 24 HR prior to planned arrival. Flight plan required. HEL and light ACFT not requiring overnight parking, as well as ACFT with status SAR, HOSP and SKED TFC, are exempt. For PPR, REF AD 2.2 para 6.
1.2 AD is approved for TFC with highest AFCT code letter D.
1.3  In addition, AD is approved for TFC with ACFT types:
  • Airbus A330-300, A350-900

  • Boeing B747-400, B767-300ER, B777-300, B787-800, B787-9

  • Antonov AN-124

2  Reduced runway separation
2.1 Reduced RWY separation may be applied between CAT 1 and 2 aircraft, in accordance with AD 1.1 para. 6.6
2.2 Minimum separation applicable for RWY 10 and RWY 28:
2.2.1 Between a landing CAT 1 aircraft and a preceding CAT 1 or 2 aircraft: 600 M
2.2.2 Between a landing CAT 2 aircraft and a preceding CAT 1 or 2 aircraft: 1500 M
2.2.3 Between a departing CAT 1 aircraft and a preceding CAT 1 or 2 aircraft: 600 M

3  Fuelling

1  Radio communication failure
1.1 If experiencing radio communication failure flying VFR in CTR:
  1. Squawk 7600,

  2. If able call TWR, TEL (+47) 67 03 44 11

  3. Proceed via published VFR routes and hold
    - 1 NM NNE of AD at 1000 FT, or
    - 1 NM SSE of AD at 1000 FT,

  4. Flash landing lights and watch TWR for visual signals.

2  Operations in low visibility
2.1 RVR 800 M or less:
Secondary power supply is activated to ensure operability within
1 -one- SEC.
2.2 RVR 550 M or less:
No ACFT movements are allowed.

1  Differences from ICAO Annex 14 SARPS
1.1 APP LGT RWY 10: Centre line consist of a single light source in each position, REF para 5.3.4.14.
1.2 APP LGT RWY 10: The width of the outermost crossbar is 15 M less than prescribed, REF para 5.3.4.19.
2  Differences from NATO Approved Criteria and Standards for Airfields
2.1 TWY shoulder not established for TWY H, REF Bi-SC Directive 085-005 NATO Approved Criteria and Standards for Airfields.

3  Special requirements for aircraft operators performing commercial transportation into Bardufoss airport
3.1 Category B - The operator shall develop a crew briefing relevant for the airport (REF ORO.FC.105).
3.2 To aid in creating a pilot briefing, additional airport information can be found here.
3.3 The operator shall document custom engine failure procedures, takeoff and landing mass calculations including contaminated runway conditions according to GRF standards (REF. AMC1 CAT.OP.MPA.303(e)).
3.4 The aircraft operator shall document fulfilment of the requirements above to CAA Norway at least 14 days prior to commencing operations. Instructions on how to declare compliance is listed in a downloadable pdf-file here: https://avinor.no/en/ais/pilot-briefing/. CAA Norway will, after evaluating the documentation and finding it adequate, issue a letter of compliance. A copy of this letter has to be carried by the crew and presented to local airport authorities or representatives of CAA Norway on request.
4  Approach and runway lights
4.1 The light intensity for sequenced flashing APCH LGT is adjustable in 3 stages, intensity 3 - 10 - 100 %.
4.2 The light intensity for APCH, THR, Aiming point, RWY edge and RWY end LGT is adjustable in 5 stages, intensity 0,1 - 1 - 10 - 30 - 100 %.
4.3 The light intensity for PAPI LGT is adjustable in 5 stages, intensity 1 - 3 - 10 - 30 - 100 %, REF AD 1.1.
5  Caution
5.1 Wind shear / eddies may occur with wind 120°-250° above 15 KT.

5.3 ACFT Flux-valve are influenced by unstable compass indication in the area HLDG TWY A to RWY 10.
