ENNO AD 2.20  Local aerodrome regulations

1  AD availability
1.1 AD may not be used by ACFT with higher code letter than C without permission from the Norwegian CAA.
1.2 ACFT OPS are not allowed when visibility is below 800 M.
1.3 PPR for all TFC outside AFIS HR of OPS, O/R via www.myppr.no or

2.1 IFR operations to / from the airport is only allowed within when AFIS is provided.
3  Semsøyene Nature Reserve
3.1 Avoid overflights that can cause bothersome noise.
3.2 Engine use within the nature reserve shall be avoided.
3.3 Sea taxiing within the wet lands area is prohibited.
4  Seaplane base
4.1 Users are to acquaint themselves with procedures and provisions for the use of Notodden seaplane base, available at www.notoddenlufthavn.no, as well as the national regulation regarding Semsøyene nature reserve, REF AD 2.20 para 3. For further details about the latter, see www.lovdata.no (Norwegian only) or contact Notodden TWR.

ENNO AD 2.21  Noise abatement procedures

1  General
1.1 School flights and other especially loud TFC shall be carried out working days between 0700 – 1900 (0600 – 1800), Saturdays between 1000 – 1700 (0900 – 1600) and Sundays between 1300 – 1900 (1200 – 1800).
1.2 Touch-and-go landing not allowed weekdays between 1900 – 2300 (1800 – 2200), Sundays and on public holidays.
2  Engine testing area
2.1 Engine testing beyond idle power to be performed on area assigned by AFIS.

ENNO AD 2.22  Flight Procedures

1  Radio communication failure
1.1 If experiencing radio communication failure when flying VFR in TIZ (REF AD 2 ENNO Visual Approach Chart6 - 1):
  1. Squawk 7600,

  2. ACFT to keep clear of other TFC and to proceed directly to HLDG point,

  3. Enter holding 1,5 NM S of AD at 1500 FT,

  4. If able, call Notodden TWR +47 35 02 60 76 +47 35 02 60 76,

  5. Flash LDG LGT,

  6. Watch TWR for visual signals.

2  General
2.1 Arriving and departing VFR-flights shall proceed via one of the following points:
  1. Meheia

  2. Nordagutu

  3. Sauland

  4. Follsjø

  5. Lifjell

All flights shall report to Notodden Information when passing these points.

2.2 Except as prescribed for instrument approaches, all circling in connection with take-off and landing shall take place SW of the Aerodrome, i.e. make all turns to the right when approaching for landing on RWY 12/12S and after taking off from RWY 12/12S.
2.3 When landing on RWY 12S, the crossing road in front of THR shall be passed at 70 FT AGL or higher due to road traffic.
3  Special phraseology
3.1 When extended RWY in use, the phrase “NO REPORTED TRAFFIC LONG RUNWAY XX” will be used for arrival and departure information.

ENNO AD 2.23  Additional Information

1  Special requirements for operators performing commercial transportation into Notodden airport
1.1 The operator shall stipulate special crew qualification requirements (Cat B, REF EASA AMC1 ORO.FC.105).
1.2 Departure procedures, take-off minima, take-off weight limitations shall be documented.
1.3 The aircraft operator shall document fulfilment of the requirements above to CAA Norway at least 14 days prior to commencing operations. Instructions on how to declare compliance is listed in a downloadable pdf-file here: https://avinor.no/en/ais/pilot-briefing/. CAA Norway will, after evaluating the documentation and finding it adequate, issue a letter of compliance. A copy of this letter has to be carried by the crew and presented to local airport authorities or representatives of CAA Norway on request.
2  Glider activity
2.1 Beware seasonal high level of glider activity at the aerodrome and within Notodden TIZ.
3  Differences from ICAO Annex 14 SARPS
3.1 RWY AHEAD is used as instruction marking at TWY A, REF para 5.2.16.
3.2 Existing objects penetrating the take off climb surface RWY 30: Buildings and vegetation between 300 and 800 M beyond RWY end 30.
3.3 Objects on RWY strip (VDF, shelter for gliders, old TWR building, parts of fencing and gate om main road N side of RWY) are not according to frangibility requirements, REF para 3.4.6 and 9.9.
3.4 RESA undershoot RWY 12 not established.
3.5 PLASI in use as visual approach slope indicator system for RWY 12, REF para 5.3.5.5 .
3.6 Approach lighting system is not established for RWY 30, REF para 5.3.4.1 A.
