ENEV AD 2.20  Local aerodrome regulations

1  AD availability
1.1 Except for emergency situations AD shall not be used by CIV or MIL ACFT with wingspan exceeding 74 M. Avinor may grant other exceptions based on an Approach and Departure Risk Assessment. Request must be send AD minimum 4 weeks prior to operations.
1.2 Permission for other use of AD outside hours, REF AD 1.1 para 1.3, may be requested by an application to AD ADMIN.
2  Pushback
2.1 Pushback is subject to ATC approval.
3  De-icing of aircraft
3.1 AVBL through local company. TWR will coordinate requests. De-icing FREQ 121.780 MHZ.
4  Military area
4.1 The movement area on the military part of the aerodrome, including Apron MIL, LINE N and LINE S, is not approved as compliant with EASA requirements. Contact MIL OPS for further information about signs, marking and status of the area.
4.2 All aircraft requiering military handling are required to submit a PPR to the Wing Operation Center (WOC): Telephone: +47 33 20 91 00 Mail: 133lv.wingops.evenes@mil.no PPRnumber shall be stated in the FPL.
4.3 Aircraft arriving at the military area shall be parked according to instructions from military personnel. If military personnel is not present, the aircraft shall wait at the meeting point until personnel arrives. Contact WING OPS, REF contact information in para 4.4
4.4 Radio frequencies of MIL WING OPS are UHF 362.800 MHZ and VHF 126.325 MHZ.

ENEV AD 2.23  Additional Information

1  Differences from ICAO Annex 14 SARPS
1.1 The distance from RWY CL to TWY Y CL is 150 M, REF para 3.9.7. Restrictions for simultaneous operations apply. This is controlled by ATC.
1.2 Objects on RWY strip, GP antenna and cabin RWY 17, RAG (RWY arresting gear), DME antenna and TACAN antenna are not in accordance with frangibility requirements, REF para 3.4.6 and 9.9.
1.3 Longitudinal slopes on the outer part of the graded RWY strip, partially along the W side, exceed 2%, REF para 3.4.12. Transverse slopes on the RWY strip in the transition between the graded and un-graded part, partially on the W and E side, exceed 2.5%, REF para 3.4.15.
1.4 Longitudinal slopes on outer parts of RESA RWY 17 and RESA RWY 35 exceeds locally 5%, REF para 3.5.10.
1.5 Longitudinal slopes on parts of TWY A3, A4 and A5 and partially on the southern part of TWY Y, exceed 1,5%, REF para 3.9.8.
1.6 The transition between longitudinal slopes on the southern part of TWY Y and some parts of TWY A3, A4 and A5 exceeds 1% per 30 M, REF para 3.9.9.

2  Differences from ICAO Doc 8168 Vol II - Construction of Visual and Instrument Flight Procedures

VOR RWY 35

The procedure does not comply with PANS-OPS criteria for straight-in approach. Procedure is offset by more than 15° (23°) compared with the RWY CL.

3  Special requirements for aircraft operators performing commercial transportation into Evenes airport
3.1 Category B - The operator shall develop a crew briefing relevant for the airport (REF ORO.FC.105).
3.2 To aid in creating a pilot briefing, additional airport information can be found here: https://avinor.no/en/ais/pilot-briefing/.
3.3 The operator shall evaluate the need for setting special wind restriction regarding wind measured at the elevated terrain position listed in AIP AD.
3.4 The operator shall document custom engine failure procedures, takeoff and landing mass calculations including contaminated runway conditions according to GRF standards (REF. AMC1 CAT.OP.MPA.303(e)).
3.5 The aircraft operator shall document fulfilment of the requirements above to CAA Norway at least 14 days prior to commencing operations. Instructions on how to declare compliance is listed in a downloadable pdf-file here: https://avinor.no/en/ais/pilot-briefing/. CAA Norway will, after evaluating the documentation and finding it adequate, issue a letter of compliance. A copy of this letter has to be carried by the crew and presented to local airport authorities or representatives of CAA Norway on request.
4  Airspace restrictions
4.1 Parts of Evenes TMA is also a part of TSA. When activated this will restrict IFR operations to and from Harstad/Narvik/Evenes aerodrome. For activation periods REF ENR 5.2 and DLY AUP.
5  Photography
5.1 Photography or recording using airborne sensors towards Evenes Air Base is prohibited. This also includes the use of cameras from aircraft. REF Norwegian regulation: LOV-2017-06-21-88 (in Norwegian only).
6  Approach and runway lights
6.1 The light intensity for high intensity APCH, PAPI, THR, CL, aiming point, RWY edge and RWY end LGT is adjustable in 5 stages, intensity 1 - 3 - 10 - 30 - 100 %, REF AD 1.1.
6.2 The low intensity APCH LGT is adjustable on/off.
7  Caution
7.1 Wind shear/turbulence may occur on approach to RWY 17.

Moderate, occasionally severe turbulence may occur on final RWY 17 with wind SW-W 20 KT or more.

Severe turbulence may occur on final RWY 17 when wind at 1400 FT (Kvantokollen 2.4 NM NW of AD) is 40 KT or more.
